Height of the ribs: 37,3/41,3mm

Contrary to my habit, this model was not obtained by drawing but rather by “deforming” a large viola in order not to lose its volume in the decrease in length. The result is a “big sound” in a small viola. The stop is 220/148mm for a vibrating string length of 371mm.

Designed by me in 1988, this model has satisfied lovers of large violas as well as those of small violas. According to those who have tried it, the sloping shoulders and the low ribs make it very comfortable. The vibrating string is 378mm length for a 224/150mm stop.
